Step 1: Nail preparation
-Disinfect Hands
Start by disinfecting both your own and your client's hands to ensure hygiene during the treatment.
-Care for Cuticles
Use a cuticle pusher to gently push back the cuticles. If you have the right knowledge, perform an E-manicure. Remove excess cuticles with cuticle nippers or scissors for a neat finish.
-File Nails into shape
File the nails into the desired shape with a 180 grit file. Ensure even edges and a smooth shape.
-Dull the nail plate
Lightly file the nails with a 240 grit file to remove the natural shine from the nail surface. This ensures better adhesion. File carefully to avoid damaging the nail plate.
-Remove dust residue
Brush the nail clean with a dust brush and 70% alcohol, removing any dust.
-Degrease and Clean
Thoroughly clean the nail surface with 100% pure acetone to degrease the nail plate.
Step 2: Apply Ultra Bond
-Apply Ultra Bond
Apply a thin layer of The Gel Expert Ultra Bonding to the nail plate. This provides extra adhesion between the natural nail and the base.Allow to air dry for 30 seconds.
Step 3 Apply Base Coat
- Apply Rubber Base
Apply a thin, even layer of The Gel Expert Rubber Base. Rubber Base provides an extra reinforcing layer under the Gel Polish.
-Cure
Cure the product:
60 seconds under an LED lamp
120 seconds under a UV lamp
Step 4 Apply Gel Polish
- Apply Gel Polish
Apply a thin layer of your favorite The Gel Expert Gel Polish. If desired, use The Gel Expert fine liner 10 mm brush to neatly align with the cuticles and side edges.
-Cure
Cure the product:
60 seconds under an LED lamp
120 seconds under a UV lamp
- Apply second layer of gel polish
Apply a second thin layer of gel polish for even and intense coverage.
-Cure
Cure the product:
60 seconds under an LED lamp
120 seconds under a UV lamp
Step 5: Apply Top Coat
-Apply Top Coat
Apply a thin, even layer of the desired The Gel Expert Top Coat.
-Cure
Cure the product:
60 seconds under an LED lamp
120 seconds under a UV lamp
-Apply Cuticle Oil
Apply a small amount of cuticle oil to each cuticle. Avoid contact with the nail to prevent the top coat from dulling.
